GERALD BRANUM Mr. McClurg, 68, of Cleveland, MS, died Monday, December 5, 2016, at Cleveland Nursing Home and Rehab. A native of Preston, MS, he lived the last few years in Cleveland, MS.  Jerry was a good-hearted man.  He loved rhythm and blues music, but most of all, his family and close friends.  Survivors include his aunt, Judy Holton and her husband, Bobby of Noxapater; uncles, Cedell Alexander and his wife, Shirley of Macon; D. H. Alexander, Jr., of Ypsilanti, MI; Richard Carl Alexander of Tuscaloosa, AL; and numerous cousins and their families.  Mr. McClurg was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel J. and Dora Alexander McClurg; brother, Harold J. McClurg; and several aunts and uncles.  Pallbearers were Ferrell Alexander, David Alexander, Eric Cumberland, Barry Holton, Kenny King and Raymond Cumberland.  Honorary pallbearers were Danny Alexander and Stanley Alexander.
