MIKE CARRMrs. Gray, 96, of Kemper County, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia. She was born and reared in Neshoba County in the Burnside Community.  She made her home in the Vardaman Community in Kemper County for the past 67 years.  Mrs. Gray was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church.  Survivors include her son, Billy S. Gray (Charlotte) of Philadelphia; son-in-law, Allen W. Johnson of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Carol Ann Pettigrew (Neil) of Philadelphia; Steve Johnson (Peggy) of DeKalb, Jimmy P. Gray (Cassie) of Madison, David W. Gray (Christina) of DeKalb; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jessica, Chloe, Luke, Jesse, Austin, Hunter, Dillan and Levi.  Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Levi “Shine” Gray; daughter, Mary Ann Johnson; great-granddaughter, Allison Paige Gray; and a number of sisters and brothers.  Pallbearers will be Neil Pettigrew, Jerry Whitehead, Steve Johnson, David Gray, Chris Anderson, Fred Gray, Tommy Forbes and Wayne Gray.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Gray.
