She was born in the Mississippi Delta, but lived her later years in the Arlington Community.  She received a Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Meridian Community College and worked for several hospitals around Meridian and Jackson. Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Grice of Meridian; son, Brandon Thrasher of Kosciusko; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Callahan of Noxapater and Brenda Gentry of Brandon; brother, Keith Parker of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Mrs. Thrasher was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Dale Thrasher; parents, Wendell L. and Gladys Irene Holdiness Parker; two sisters and four brothers.
