RANDY CALDWELL Ms. Cherry, 89, of Dekalb, MS, died Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center in Meridian, MS. She was a native of Jackson, MS, but a longtime resident of Kemper County, where she lived in the Damascus Community.  She worked formerly as an operator for South Central Bell; loved gardening, her flowers, and taking care of family.  Ms. Cherry was a member of West Kemper Baptist Church.  Survivors include two daughters, Sandra George (Ted) and Teresa Cherry George (Jeff) of Dekalb; two sons, Joe Cherry of Biloxi, MS, and Keith Cherry (Gwen) of Porterville, MS; grandchildren, Emily Smith, Felicia Skipper, Jamie Williamson, Wendy Chisolm, Ashley Blakley and Thomas Cherry; ten great- grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.  Ms. Cherry was preceded in death by her parents, Lauren and Mable Daniel; sister, Rachel Haney; and brothers, Sonny Daniel and James Daniel.
