BUDDY COVINGTON Mr. Jones, 90, of Philadelphia, MS, died Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Bee Hive Homes of Philadelphia.  He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County.  He served during WWII in the U. S. Navy (Pacific Theater).  He retired from MDOT in 1989.  Mr. Jones was a member of Bloomfield Congregational Methodist Church.  Survivors include his sons, Edward Jones (Lynda) of Philadelphia, Gary Jones (Christi) of Collinsville; grandchildren, Jamie Jones, Glenda Shay Ward, Joey Jones and Matthew Jones; great-grandchildren, Lee Jones, Summer Farlow, Dalton Spivey, Katie Ward, Trinity White, Maddie Kate Jones and Ryatt Jones; sister, Katherine Lundy of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Kate Jones; parents, John and Effie Jones; sisters, Wadean Whittle and Frances Kelley; and brother, Irvin Jones.
