MARK THOMPSON Mr. McDonald, 72, of Preston, MS, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was a native and longtime resident of Preston. Mr. Yates worked for Kansas City Railroad, where he retired after 24 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He also loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who he spoiled rotten. Mr. Yates was a member of Coye Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 plus years, Margaret Ann McDonald of Preston; daughter, Clynda Perkins and her husband, Bobby of Waveland; son, Brian McDonald and his wife, Pamela of Texarkana, TX; five grandchildren, Desiree Parker of Texarkana, TX, Chris Parker of Abilene, TX, Jordyn Manning and her husband, Zachery, Jalyn McDonald and Brian Seth McDonald, all of Texarkana, TX; sister, JoAnn Burnham and her husband, Gene of Philadelphia; two brothers, Delane McDonald and his wife, Rita and Terry McDonald and his wife, Beth, both of Preston; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents, Solomn Champ and Ruby Mae McDonald; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Rigdon.Pallbearers were Randall Thompson, Wayne Green, James Green, Allen McDonald, Jeremy Green, Jonathan Green, Brandon Warren and Thad Yarborough.
