CHESTER CARLISLE Mr. Watkins, 75, of Philadelphia, MS, died Friday, August 26, 2016, at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia. He was a native of Neshoba County and longtime resident of Jackson, MS, where he worked in construction as electrician and heavy equipment operator. He moved to Philadelphia in 1995, and retired from Wal-Mart in Philadelphia. Mr. Watkins was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy “Dott” Watkins of Philadelphia; two sons, Ken Watkins (Kim) of Philadelphia and Ray Watkins (Jessica) of Byram; five grandchildren, Brittany, Ethan, Kelsey, Matthew and Sydney Watkins; sister, Judy Coats of Philadelphia; and brother, Roy Watkins of Philadelphia; several nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Necy Watkins. Pallbearers are Jerry Beckham, Danny Guthans, Lonnie Holley, Paul Jones, George Terry Sciple and Wyatt Waddell. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to Quality Hospice or American Cancer Society.
