JASON MARTINMr. Edward Kirkland, Sr., 86, of Philadelphia, MS, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia, MS. He was a native of Kemper County and lived most of his life in Neshoba County.  He was a carpenter by trade.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and listening to his dogs run.  Mr. Kirkland was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Philadelphia.  Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Georgia Louise Eldridge Kirkland of Philadelphia, MS; one daughter, Pamela Renee Stokes (Chris) of Philadelphia, MS; five sons, Edward L. Kirkland Jr. (Sylvia) of Philadelphia, MS, Ronnie Kirkland of Brandon, MS, Michael Kirkland (Becky) of Houlka, MS, Steven Kirkland (Tina) of Brunswick, OH, and Andy Kirkland (Shannon) of Philadelphia, MS; twelve grandchildren, Melanie, Nathan, Bailey Elise, Tiffani, Matt, Brent, Naomi, Lillian, Cole, Sadie, Will and Abby; nine great-grandchildren, Haiden, Taylor, Karsyn, Maddox, Anny, Faryn, Braylie and Jacob; sister, Shirley Martin of Philadelphia, MS; brothers, David Kirkland and James Kirkland of Philadelphia, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Kirkland was preceded in death by a daughter, Krista Darlene Kirkland and a brother, Roy Kirkland.Pallbearers are Cole Kirkland, Matthieu Kirkland, Nathan Kirkland, Patrick Kirkland, Tyler Pope and Will Stokes. Honorary pallbearers are Cyrus Ben, Juane Kirkland,Taylor Kirkland, Cade Martin and Brent Riley.
