STEVE ROBINSON Mrs. Guthrie, 96, of Union, died Monday, July 4, 2016, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia. Mary was a member of Linwood Baptist Church, where she was a faithful servant of God, teaching Sunday School for over 60 years.  She loved music, family, friends, flowers, and her cats.   She helped organize Neshoba Central’s Booster Club, was a 4-H leader working with youth, and served as music director for several years in her church. She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Russell (Horace) of Little Rock, MS, Barbara McMillan (Tommy) of Philadelphia, MS; daughter-in-law, Norine Guthrie of Pearl, MS; sister-in-law, Odessa Clark of Philadelphia, MS; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Guthrie was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar L. and Avah Mason Golden; husband, R. O. “Reg” Guthrie; son, Ronnie Guthrie; great-grandson, Nicholas Morrow; and sister, Hazel McKinion.  Pallbearers are Randy Nicholson, Dewayne Nicholson, Daylen Edwards, Carl Mason, Harold Willis, and Alan Spears.
