MATTHEW HITT Mrs. Kate Williamson, 88, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at her residence. She was born and reared in Neshoba County where she spent her early years as a farmer; later years she worked for Midland Shirt Company and also had her own babysitting service. Mrs. Williamson was a member of Faithway Baptist Church. She loved gardening, flowers, cooking, and children. Survivors include five daughters, Juanita Williamson of Philadelphia, Barbara Hitt of Little Rock, Carolyn Boozer of Ft. Worth, TX, Beverly Scott of Philadelphia, and Vicki Lide of DeKalb; two sons, Ed Williamson and Clay Williamson, both of Philadelphia; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bell Adams of Edinburg and Nell Rutledge of Hot Coffee. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Theo Williamson; parents, Jasper Cleveland and Mary Alice Wedgeworth Savell; son, James Cleveland Williamson; four brothers and two sisters.Pallbearers were Nicholas Becton, Caleb Johnson, Josh Luke, Chris Hitt, Clay Williamson, Clint Aurthur, Hunter Clay, Jonathan E. Williamson and C.J. Hitt.
