KERMIT SHARP Mrs. Johnnie Lou Sharp Henley, 84, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. She attended Bethsaida School through the 8th grade and graduated from House High School in 1950. She received her associate degree from East Central Junior College in 1952. Following graduation, she worked at Hardy’s Cash Store and then the Citizens Bank, until she married in 1961. She loved her family, flowers, cooking and singing gospel hymns. Mrs. Henley was a member of Beatline Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Rev. Bobby Jack Henley of Philadelphia; daughter, Ginnie Barker (Cliff) of Philadelphia; son, Greg Henley (Flo) of Starkville; sister-in-law, Doris Murphy of Clinton; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Henley was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vinnie Hardy Sharp; an uncle, Elijah Sharp (who lived with them); and an infant sister. Pallbearers are Bobby Spears, Tyler Spears, Jimmy Dale Smith, Benjamin Pace, Brian Pace and Lucas Sharp.
