CHRIS VOWELLMrs. Burnice Dees, 87, of Philadelphia, MS, died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was born and reared in Union, MS and made Philadelphia her home all her adult life.  Mrs. Dees was a member of First Baptist Church.  She retired after many years as bookkeeper for Vowell’s Grocery Store. Survivors include her sons, Alex Dees, III “Patty” and Bobby Malcolm  Dees “Serita”, all of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Tia Dees, Shanna Brewer, Amy Fanning, Alex E. Dees, IV, Bobby M. Dees, Jr., Daniel Robertson, and Lee Robertson; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dees was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Dees, Jr.; her parents, Lemmie and Pearle Kilpatrick; and four siblings.Pallbearers were  Alex Dees, IV, Bobby Dees, Jr., Jase Lee Copeland, Daniel Robertson, Lee Robertson and Duncan Brewer.
