MARK GILLMrs. Smith, 36, of Carriere, died Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune. She was born in Jackson and lived in Philadelphia for several years before moving to Carriere, where she had lived for the past six years.  Mrs. Smith was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church in Neshoba County. Survivors include her husband, Michael Smith of Carriere; daughters, Aleia Sharp of Union and Ashton Sharp of Philadelphia; granddaughter, Hadley Kate McElhenney of Union; mother, Sheila Jones of Philadelphia; grandmothers, Peggy Fowler of Philadelphia and Martha Gilmer of Ridgeland; brothers, Eric Parker of Riverview, Florida, Brandon Spence of Brandon and Chris Jones of Florence; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Luther “Tim” Spence. Pallbearers will be Eddie Gilmer, Brian Gilmer, Brad Gilmer, Dylan Spence, Brandon Mitchell and Butch Fred Smith.
