BOBBY PARRISHREV. ED NEWMAN Mrs. Ricks, 91, of Noxapater, died Monday, February 29, 2016, at Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville. She was born and reared in the Good Hope community of Neshoba County and made her home in the Liberty community of Winston County most of her adult life.  Mrs. Ricks was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Way of Tampa, Florida, Nell Ricks of Brandon, Alice Ricks of Noxapater, Linda Waltmon (Danny) of Starkville, Marie Wilson (Woody) of Starkville and Gayle Newman (Ed) of Ethel; sons, Jimmy Ricks (Diane) of Macon, Jerry Ricks (Mary Jo) of Meridian, Randy Ricks (Barbara) of Kosciusko, Billy Joe Ricks (Tammy) of Starkville and Dorris Ricks of Brandon; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Martha Ethridge of Meridian; brother, L.D. Clark of Philadelphia; and brothers-in-law, Carl Ricks of Madison and J.W. Luke of Louisville. Mrs. Ricks was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie C. Ricks; and brothers, Herman Clark and Hollis Clark. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
