OWEN GORDONMrs. Smith, 91, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Brandon Court. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Hope community in Neshoba County. She retired from Garan Manufacturing.  Mrs. Smith was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Dionia Smith Tidmore (Jay) of Knoxville, Tenn.; sons, Benny Smith (Diane) of Utica, Danny Smith (Nelda) of Brandon, and Ricky Smith (Charlotte) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Missy Jones (Brian), Mendy Grace (Tim), Timmy Gentry, Chuck Smith (Kathy), David Smith (Kathy), Rachel Spencer (Clay), and Matt Prater, M.D.; great-grandchildren, Tanner Jones, Tucker Jones, Emma Leighton Jones, Clancy Smith, Charlie Smith, Madalyn Smith, Bill Spencer, Kyle Gentry, Korey Gentry, and Krissie Gentry; one great-great-grandchild, Kristina Gentry and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Smith; parents, G.C. and Rosie Leigh Coughran: sisters, Dessie Chisolm and Claudie Dee Coughran; and brother, Edwin Frank Coughran.Pallbearers were Brian Jones, Tim Grace, Timmy Gentry, Chuck Smith, Matt Prater, David Smith, Tanner Jones and Clay Spencer.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope United Methodist Church of Philadelphia MS or the charity of your choice.
