Orville B. Allen, 73, died Thursday, January 7, 2016, at his home. Mr. Allen was a native of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, and had been a resident of the House Community in Neshoba County for the past 15 years. He previously lived in Meridian where he worked as a supervisor at Lockheed, retiring in 1999. Mr. Allen was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army 176th Airborne Division. Survivors include his wife, Carol Allen of House; son, Jimmy Allen of Lauderdale; daughter, Susan Wren of House; grandchildren, Luke Allen, Mason Allen, Thomas Clay and Ashley Smith; great-grandchildren, Ashton Clay, Addison Clay, Charlie Reese Smith and Mary Claire Smith; brothers, Oscar Allen, Lemule Allen and Dudney Allen; sisters, Dorothy Henley, Marie Brooksbank, Georgia Ruth Owen and Martha Lou Cook; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his brother, Arlis Allen. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
