MIKE CARR Mrs. Hardy was a native of Coahoma County and graduated from Clarksdale High School. She attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, a sweetheart of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and an Ole Miss beauty.  She retired from the State of Mississippi Department of Human Services. Mrs. Hardy was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was involved in various community outreach programs. Survivors include her husband, Charles “Chuck” Hardy of Philadelphia; stepchildren, Joe Middleton and his wife, Dorothy of Clarksdale, Mary Ann Ashmore of Meridian and Cookie Duncan of Meridian; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; niece, Patricia Hymel and her husband, Gene of Clarksdale; and nephew, Rick Lyon and his wife, Pat of Tylertown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Middleton; stepson, Jack Middleton; parents, Pattie and Jack Stanford; and sister, Mignonne Lyon and her husband, Dick. Pallbearers are Larry Hardy, Terry Hardy, Mark Kilpatrick, Jody Langham, Dakan Rigsbee, Rick Lyon, Gene Hymel and Allen Peacock.
