UNTIL SERVICE TIMEFIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCHFenton Byrd DeWeese, II, 66, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, in Philadelphia, Mississippi.He is survived by his wife, Bettye Richardson DeWeese of Philadelphia; their children, Pete, William and Libby; his sisters, Nona DeWeese Kilpatrick of Philadelphia, Suzan DeWeese Martin of Gulf Shores, AL; his brothers, Albert Butler DeWeese of Philadelphia, Thomas Edwin DeWeese of Hot Springs, AR; and a host of wonderful and loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Butler DeWeese and his father, Fenton Byrd (Pete) DeWeese.He was retired from the Attorney General’s Office of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, where he worked as a staff attorney.A celebration of his life was held at the First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia, MS. Life-long friends Shawn Byars, Lannie Byars, David Howell, Lane Howell and David Lauderdale lifted the spirits of those attending with a setlist reflective of Fent’s love of music. The audience was graced by the moving vocal performances of family friends Steve Eiland and Larry Mills. Constance Slaughter-Harvey, Dick Molpus, David Howell and son, Pete DeWeese, gave touching remembrances of a life well-lived.  Don Kilgore read a favorite scripture and led the congregation in prayer.  Reverend Chris Young, First United Methodist Church, presided over the service.
