GRAVESIDE SERVICES:SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18, 20152:00 P. M. SALEM CEMETERYKEMPER COUNTYOFFICIATING:REV. CHRIS GULLY Mrs. Gully, 93, of Preston, died Friday, October 16, 2015, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Preston area of Kemper County.  She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as postmaster of the Post Office in Preston where she worked for 26 years.  Mrs. Gully was a member of Lynville United Methodist Church and a member of the Kemper County Historical Society.  She served in the U.S. Navy during WWII with the military mail service. Mrs. Gully was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Gully; grandson, Jason Gully; sister, Jemima Powell; and brother, Alpha J. Watkins. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Miller and her husband, Tucker of Drew; sons, Roy Gully and his wife, Rhonda of Arlington, Texas, and Mike Gully and his wife, Mary of Scooba; grandchildren, Jud Gully, Morgan Goodrich, Sarah Ingram, Herbert Miller and Emily Waters; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Esther Wilson of DeKalb and Omega Herrington of Meridian.
