STUART PURVISMrs. Burton, 81, of Philadelphia, died Friday, August 21, 2015, at Atwood Personal Care Home. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Spring Creek community in Neshoba County. She was retired from Garan-Philadelphia where she worked in quality control .  Mrs. Burton was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of Faith Sunday School Class and Senior Group. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Johnson (James) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Jessica Stroud (Allen) of Philadelphia and Andrew Paul Johnson (Meaghan) of Birmingham, AL; great-grandchildren, Leigh Allyn Stroud, Tate Stroud and Jase Stroud; sisters, Lola Burnett (Joe) of Philadelphia and Edna Dollar (Charles) of Brandon; brother, T. J. Coats of Philadelphia; brothers-in-law, Ronald Burton (Ronda) of Meridian, and Walter Jones of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Syble Hayes of Silver Hills, AL, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Burton; parents, Andrew and Ola Coats; sisters, Helen Peebles, Lois Jones, Lillie Mae Peebles, Bessie Shelton, and brother, Tommie Coats.
