GAYLE POPE REV. LAWRENCE POOL Mr. Cheatham was a native and longtime resident of the Coy community in Kemper/Neshoba Counties.  He worked at U.S. Motors as personnel manager for many years and was a farmer all of his life. Mr. Cheatham was a Mason and Shriner and a member of Coy United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jean Avery Cheatham of Preston; children, Gary Cheatham (Joanne) of Louisville, Cheryl Cheatham Breckenridge of Preston, Tracy Smith (Brenda) of Pearl, Cheri Avery of Royce, TX and Darla Jean Miller (Coy) of Preston; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Jackie Cheatham of Duffee. Mr. Cheatham was preceded in death by his children, Deborah Cheatham Jarriel and Travis Lamar Cheatham, Jr.; parents, Percy and Alma Cheatham and brother, Clois Cheatham.Pallbearers were Chad Cheatham, Blake Brown, Kyle Miller, Joshua Miller, Tyler Smith, Taylor Smith, Mike Price, Justin Long, Cody Bryan and Lake Mosley.
