RICK HENSONMr. Goodwin, 90, of Brandon, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Merit River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. He was born and reared in the Cleveland community of Kemper County and had made his home in the Jackson area for the past 64 years.  He retired after 38 years with ABF Truck Line.  Mr. Goodwin was a member of Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Jean McCoy (Don) of Brandon and Pat Swilley of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Myrtle Griffin of Brandon, Lillian Mitchell of DeKalb, Carolyn Goodwin of Houston, TX, and Martha George of DeKalb; brothers, Jimmy Goodwin of Florence, Luke Goodwin of Brandon, and Rodger Goodwin of Meridian; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by his parents, George Lee and Effie Mae Goodwin; sisters, Catherine McDonald and Mildred Burt; and brothers, Junior Goodwin and Lamar Goodwin.
