DAN HOWARD Mr. Spears, 94, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was born and reared in Neshoba County where he made his home all of his life. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Spears was a member of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. Survivors include his sisters, Mildred Estes (Everett) of Philadelphia and Sara Frances Branning of Philadelphia; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Spears was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Fannie Spears; sisters, Sadie Gray and Eloise Stovall; and brothers, John William Spears and Charles Harold Spears.Pallbearers were Travis Gray, Alex Gray, Michael Gray, Brandon Gray, Jarrod Gray, Jimmy Dale Stovall and Pat Fanning.
