Jessie Leonard Thrash

KEVIN VAUGHNMr. Thrash was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  He retired in 1990 from U.S. Motors after 28 ½ years.  He was a longtime cattle, poultry and tree farmer. Mr. Thrash was a lifetime member of Ocobla Baptist Church having served as church clerk for 36 years.  He served in the U.S. Army with time in Germany and later in the Mississippi National Guard.Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cumberland Thrash of Philadelphia; children, Hedda Stewart (Stan) of Philadelphia, Lisa Alford (Mike) of Philadelphia, Randy Thrash (Patty) of Columbus and Jimmy Thrash (Sherry) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Jessica Ridout (Chad), Micah Stewart, Heather Chapman (Trey), Matthew Thrash, Mary Paige Thrash, Hannah Thrash, Trinity Thrash and Jessy Thrash; great-grandchildren, Bailee Rhea Ridout and Charleigh Kate Ridout; sisters, Ann Ogletree (Sidney) of Carthage and Helen Fulton (Billy Royce) of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Thrash was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Mary Thrash and brothers, Carlton Thrash, Arlton Thrash and George Thrash.Pallbearers were Jeff Cumberland, Johnny Saulters, Brad Ogletree, James Fulton, Joey Thrash and Doug Thrash.  Honorary pallbearers were Ocobla Men's Sunday school class and Bobby's Bunch.             In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ocobla Children’s Ministries, Gideons International or Baptist Children’s Village.
