Wendell Watkins

UNTIL SERVICE TIMEINTERMENT:  MORROW CEMETERYOFFICIATING:  REV. ERIC EMBREY Mr. Watkins was a native and lifelong resident of the Dixon community in Neshoba County.  He was owner/operator of W.L. Watkins General Merchandise and was also a cattle farmer.  He served in the U.S Navy during WWII. Mr. Watkins was a member and deacon of Dixon Baptist Church. Survivors include his sister, Jelene Brown (Alfred) of Columbia; brother, Binford Watkins (Bobbie) of Ridgeland; brother-in-law, Bill Webb of Philadelphia; nieces, Debba Betterton, Linda Gail Bouler and Cindy Bryant and nephews, Terry Glenn Brown, Rex Webb and Craig Brown, Sr. Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his sisters, Edwina Webb and Jo Russell and brother-in-law, Wendell Russell.Pallbearers were Norman Carter, Steve Johnson, Bryce McClendon, Patrick Pinter, Robert Denmark, Craig Brown, Jr., Gus Johnson and Billy Thaggard.  Honorary pallbearer was Bill Webb.
