FRED BRITTON  Mrs. Tinsley, 90, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, November 23, 2014, at her home. She was born January 31, 1924 to Clinton Elmer Branning and Eula Mae Cumberland Branning of Neshoba County, Bloomo Community.  Mrs. Tinsley was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church.  She was a devoted full-time mother, "who lived her life for her four children", Plez, Jr., Billy, Mike, and Jo Ann. She was a basketball standout during high school days at Forestdale and Bloomo scoring a game point high of 58 pts, earning the nickname "Half-Pint" because of her size. She was a beautician during her early years and coached softball.  Mrs. Tinsley was an astute business woman, running and managing Tinsley Realty until she was 89.  She was an active member of Crime Stoppers for several years.  She loved working in her yard.  Most importantly to her, she taught her children at FUMC at every level of their spiritual walk. Mrs. Tinsley was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Plez Tinsley, Sr.; her parents, Clinton Elmer Branning and Eula Mae Branning; infant twin daughters, Paula and Paulette Tinsley; sister, Pearl Burkes; and brothers, Milton (Mitt) Branning, Stennis Branning, and Raymond Branning. She is survived by children, Dr. Plez Tinsley, Jr. and wife, Ruth of Van Etten, NY, Billy Tinsley of Madison, Mike Tinsley and wife, Tracy, and Jo Ann Tinsley-Rounsaville and husband, Rex, both of Philadelphia; sisters, Audie Stewart of Philadelphia and Johnnie Graves of Jackson; sisters-in-law, Frances Branning, wife of the late Mitt and Pat Branning, wife of the late Bilbo.  She is also survived by: "the pride and joy of her life", her grandchildren, Tyler Rounsaville and wife, Carly Byars Rounsaville, Wes Rounsaville and wife, Katy Peterson Rounsaville, Bronwen Tinsley Wiggins and husband, Newton, her mother, Marjolyn Tinsley, Thomas Tinsley, John Tinsley, Sara Ann Tinsley, Eddie Johnson, and Ashley Johnson. There was nothing that brought her greater joy than being with them. Blessings to her devoted and much loved caretakers, Edna Ruth Steele, Dorothy Turner, Barbara Bates, and Candie Sanderson. Pallbearers will be Steve Murray, Larry Lillis, Kent Stribling, Steve Breland, Ricky Barfoot, Stanley Manning, Guy Nowell and Bruce Threadgill.  Honorary pallbearers will be Philadelphia Utilities linemen and City of Philadelphia Police Department.
