She was a native of Pachuta, MS and made her home in Neshoba County most of her life.  She had lived in Vicksburg for the past few years.  She was a retired educator from the Philadelphia Public Schools.  Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of Beacon Street Baptist Church and Southside United Methodist Church before moving to Vicksburg where she was a member of Bovina Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #91 in Philadelphia. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Jackson (James) of Macon; son, Mike Jones (Alice) of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Courtney Woodruff, Holly Horne and Allen Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, David Jones.Pallbearers were Mike Jones, Ron Horne, Jay Woodruff and Ronnie Johnston.
