ROY WOLFE AND DR. OWEN GORDON Mr. Bernard L. Agent, Sr., 92, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born in the Deemer Community on June 30, 1922 to Mr. William Clyde and Mrs. Lillie Mae (Sullivan) Agent. He attended Southside United Methodist Church. Mr. Agent was a veteran of WWII.  He served in General Patton's 3rd Army where he was a tank commander in the 7th Armored Division 17th tank battalion.  Staff Sergeant Agent landed at Normandy and fought in many major battles including, the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of Overloon Holland where he received the Bronze Star Medal. Mr. Agent married Audine White on July 29, 1945 and they spent 69 years together until his death.  He spent his entire life in Neshoba County except for his time in the war and one year that they spent in Jackson while he was employed with IL Central Railroad.  After his time with the railroad he and his wife moved back to Neshoba County where he went to work for The Cole Brothers Company.  He was employed by Cole Brothers for 40 years until his retirement as a sales representative. During Mr. Agent's life he had many hobbies.  He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, playing cards, and especially loved the Neshoba County Fair. He owned a Fair Cabin on Sunset Strip and enjoyed every fair from the front porch for several decades.  He especially enjoyed seeing friends and family enjoying what he referred to as "our" fair.  He was particularly interested in what first time fair goers thought about it.  His favorite hobby of all was spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Agent is survived by his wife, Audine White Agent; son, Bernard L. Agent, Jr. and his wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Ashton Agent Tucker and her husband, Robert Tucker, and Austin Christopher Agent all of Oxford, MS; brothers, Don Agent of Thousand Oaks, CA and Joe Agent of Madison, MS.  He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Mr. Agent was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. William Clyde and Mrs. Lillie Mae Agent; sisters, Mrs. Williese Taylor and Mrs. Nell Johnson; brother, Mr. Edwin Agent; and granddaughter, Meagan Leigh Agent.Pallbearers were Edwin Copeland, Bill Copeland, David Johnson, Nollie White, Richie Ayers, Brian Gray, James White and Tate Salter. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Boyle and Mike Fulton.
