LINDA SMITH Mrs. Smith, 94, of Jackson, died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was a native of the Bloomo community in Neshoba County. She resided in Lafayette, Louisiana for 30 years where she worked and retired from Charity Hospital as a nurse anesthetist. She had made her home in Jackson since 1982. Mrs. Smith was Baptist by faith. Survivors include her sisters, Bessie Green of Philadelphia and Bonnie Gray of Philadelphia; brothers, Noel Stewart of Jackson and Frank Stewart of Vicksburg; and a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Loomis Smith; sisters, Miltie Johnson, Florence Maxey and Carrene Haver; and brother, Bobby Stewart. Pallbearers were Eric Haver, Adam Haver, Mitchell Bateman, Larry Steward, Lindsey Stewart and Sam Haver. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Research or to your favorite charity.
