BRIAN WEIRMrs. Lovorn, 87, of Philadelphia, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at her home. She was a native of the Walnut Grove community in Leake County and was a longtime resident of Philadelphia. She was a former legal secretary for W.T. Weir, Sr. and later her brother, Laurel G. Weir. She served as former clerk for Justice Court Judges Todd and Cannon and also clerked for the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department for three sheriffs (Glen Waddell being the latest). Mrs. Lovorn was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her son, William Henry “Bill” Lovorn of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Lovorn was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Lovorn; an infant son; parents, W.T. and Dollie Weir; sisters, Rosa Nell Herring, Lou Ella Moore, Flossie Mae Weir and Elizabeth Ann Clay; and brothers, Robert Milton Weir, Lewie Weir, W.T. “Bud” Weir, Jr., Jerry Lee Weir and Laurel Gill Weir. Pallbearers were Brian Weir, Chad Clark, Riley Clark, Richie Lovorn, Reggie Lovorn and Jerry Myers. Honorary pallbearer was Kevin Edens. The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or your favorite charity.
