James "Billy" Brantley

SERVICES: SATURDAY,OCTOBER 18, 20142:00 P.M.MCCLAIN-HAYS CHAPELVISITATION: FRIDAY,OCTOBER 17, 20145:00-8:00 P.M.MCCLAIN-HAYSINTERMENT:CEDARLAWN CEMETERY Mr. Brantley, 87, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was a native of Neshoba County and lived in Illinois for a number of years where he worked and retired from Union Carbide.  After his retirement, he returned to Philadelphia and worked for several years at Neshoba Central before retiring.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Brantley attended First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia. Survivors include his daughter, Debby Mohler (John) of Brooklyn; son, Stephen Brantley of Philadelphia; daughter-in-law, Theresa Fanning of Philadelphia; step-son, Johnny Fanning of Madison; grandchildren, Jamie Brantley, Jason Daniel Harrison, Zachary James Harrison, Bass Fanning, Buck Fanning, Robyn Fanning and Tyler Fanning; great-grandchildren, Summer Brantley, Declan Brantley, Jonah Daniel Harrison, Zachary Jaidyn Harrison, Eli Jase Harrison, Easton Gage Harrison and Molli Harrison; sister, Geraldine Partridge of Meridian; brothers, J.C. Brantley of North Judson, IN and Jones Brantley of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Brantley was preceded in death by his first wife, Aledia Brantley and second wife, Kathleen Brantley; parents, J.D. and Cassie Brantley; step-son, Jimmy Fanning; grandchildren, Joshua Duvert Harrison and Skye Brantley; and brother, Bobby Brantley.Pallbearers were Jason Harrison, Zac Harrison, Bass Fanning, Buck Fanning, Doug Brantley and Brantley Partridge.
