STUART PURVISMrs. Weatherford, 85, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Neshoba County General  Hospital. She was a native of Kemper County and a longtime resident of Jackson, MS from the mid 50’s until moving to the Spring Creek Community of Neshoba County in 2000.  She was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture. Mrs. Weatherford was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Sandy Weatherford of Philadelphia; sisters, Doris Daniels of Philadelphia, Marie Alford of Philadelphia, Jacquita Copeland of Preston and Mary Fulton of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Weatherford was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Weatherford in 2000; parents, Jack and Ethel Alexander; and sisters, Betty Alexander and Edwina Hale.Pallbearers were Stephen Barrier, Darrell Fulton, Larry Luke, Aubrey Luke, Kurt Butler, Trent Butler, and John Thomas.
