Maggie Massingill

Maggie Massingill, 91, of Noxapater, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Neshoba County General Hospital. She was born and reared in the Nanih Waiya community of Winston County.  She attended Calhoun School. Survivors include her daughter, Diane Brownlee (Mike) of Canton; son, David Massingill of Noxapater; grandchild, Matthew Brownlee of Canton; and a host of nieces and nephews.Mrs. Massingill was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, J.D. Massingill; parents, Crumby and Willie Whitehead; sisters, Mae Whitehead, Mary Jane Farnham, Margie Whitehead, Mildred Reland, and Susie Johnson; and brothers, Earl Whitehead, Herman Whitehead, Jack Whitehead, Pete Whitehead, Truett Whitehead, and Winfred Whitehead.A memorial service will be held at a later date.
