JAY MURPHYMr. Rushing, 89, of Philadelphia,  died Friday, May 23, 2014 at Rush Specialty Hospital. He was born and reared in Neshoba County, where he made his home most of his life. Mr. Rushing was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Coleman(Chuck) of Philadelphia; two sons, Dewayne Rushing (Dianne) of Louisville, MS; and James Rushing of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Lavenia Jolly of Philadelphia. Mr. Rushing was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rushing and one son, Mitchell Rushing.Pallbearers were Joby Griffin, Jerry Blount, Craig Nowell, Lee Hardy, Terry Nowell and Brad Stuart.
