MIKE SKINNER Mr. Reynolds, 89, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia. He was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of the Good Hope community. He was a longtime farmer. He helped Ermin Crenshaw moving houses early in his working life. He worked powerline construction all over the state. He was owner/operator Reynolds Dairy for many years. He served two terms as supervisor of Neshoba County in District 4 in 1984-1992 and was an early supporter of the county unit system. Mr. Reynolds was Baptist by faith. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II on aircraft carrier USS MAKASSAR STRAIT CVE-91 and was awarded two bronze stars. He served on East Mississippi Livestock Board, Neshoba County Co-Op Board and helped develop volunteer fire departments in Neshoba County. Survivors include his wife, Louise Reynolds; sons, Rodger Reynolds (Sharlee) and Billy Reynolds, all of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ledale Reynolds (Martha) of Philadelphia, Angela Reynolds of Noxapater, Deana Cumberland (Brian) of Philadelphia, Beverly Clay (Tyson) of Noxapater and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Reynolds; grandson, Reed Reynolds; sister, Ruby Lois May and an infant brother; parents, Rouse and Irene Reynolds and a niece, Judy Gazaway.Pallbearers were Randy Clark, Tommy Smith, Gerald Spears, Eric Clark, Johnny Crenshaw and Tommy Waddell.
