FRED BRITTONMrs. Stribling, 88, died peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a native of Sebastopol, Mississippi, and a longtime resident of Philadelphia, Mississippi.  Mrs. Stribling was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  She was active in numerous activities throughout her life, especially the Clay Bluff Art Association, where she nurtured her love for art. Survivors include her children, Betty Irons (Barry) and Larry Stribling (Debra) of Philadelphia, and Linda Bowles (Jeff) of Oxford; grandchildren, Jenny Irons (George) of New Orleans, Dan Irons (Sherol) of Athens, Mary Margaret Irons of Jackson, Kyle Stribling (Lacey) of Atlanta, Reid Stribling of New Orleans, and Mark Bowles (Jana) of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Addy and Lillian Hobor of New Orleans; sister, Bobbye Shepard of Sebastopol; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stribling was preceded in death by her husband, G.O. “Jack” Stribling; her parents, Lewis and Bettie Phillips; sister, Dean McMullen; and brothers, Gordon Philllips, Woodrow Phillips, and Hi Phillips. Pallbearers were Kyle Stribling, Reid Stribling, Dan Irons, Mark Bowles, Ronnie Anthony, Kent Stribling, and Glen Stribling.
