BUD WADDELLREV. CHESTER CARLISLE Mrs. Sims, 77, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Regency Hospital of Meridian. She was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia, MS.  She was retired from Wells Lamont in Philadelphia and had formerly worked at Midland Shirt Factory in Union and Garan in Philadelphia.  Mrs. Sims was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was honored last year for teaching Pre-School Sunday School for 50 years. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Earvin Sims of Philadelphia; daughters, Glenda White (Ralph) and Darlene Sistrunk (Marty), all of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ryan White (Jennie) of Philadelphia, Wendy White of Atlanta, GA, Christy Barrett (Don), Nathan Sistrunk (Laura) and Angie Coward (Brett), all of Philadelphia; great-grandchildren, Aspen and Reece White, Mallory Madison, John Rylee and Lily Carsyn Barrett, Anna, Talbott and Kirkland Sistrunk, Lauren, Landon, and Layton Coward; sister, Carol McLeroy of Holly Pond, AL; brothers, Leon Myers and Lim Barrett, both of Philadelphia.Pallbearers were Ryan White, Don Barrett, Nathan Sistrunk, Webb Hamilton, Brett Coward, and Tom Barnett. Honorary pallbearers were John Rylee Barrett, Reese White, Talbott Sistrunk, Kirkland Sistrunk, and Landon Coward.
