VERNELL DANIELS Mrs. Green, 83, died Saturday, April 5 ,2014 at her residence. She was born and reared in the Nanih Waiya community.  She married her husband in 1948 and moved to Florida in 1955 to work at McArthur Farms.   She moved back to Nanih Waiya in 1990 where she made her home. Mrs. Green was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.  She loved to garden, can fresh vegetables and work in the flower bed.  Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Green of Nanih Waiya; sons, Noel Green (Jo Ann) of McCaulley, TX and Marty Green of Nanih Waiya; grandchildren, Kyle Green (Page) of Avon Park, FL and Shyla Williams (Pete) of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Tanner Williams, Kyla Williams, Abi Williams, Mallory Green, Kaden Williams and Mason Green; sister, Barbara Davis of West Palm Beach, FL; brothers, Delano Stokes of Preston and Terry Stokes of Louisville and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by parents, Leon and Vallie Stokes; husband, Chalmers Green and four brothers.
