BOBBY LOWREYMrs. Thomas, 92, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Choctaw Residential Center in Choctaw.She was a native of the Sandtown community in Neshoba County. She was a former resident of Morton, Kemper County and the Noxapater area of Winston County, before entering Choctaw Residential Center late in life.  While living in Morton, she worked at B.C. Rogers Poultry Processing Plant.  Mrs. Thomas formerly attended Christian Life Apostolic Church and First Pentecostal Church of Noxapater.Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann DePriest of DeKalb; son, Walter Thomas (Marjorie) of Noxapater; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Langston of Raleigh, Cora “Sissie” Eakes of DeKalb, and Bobbie Jean Shoemaker of Forest; and a host of nieces, nephews, and their families.Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Welton Thomas; sons, Curtis Thomas and Milton Thomas; parents, Eugene and Bittie Mae Cumberland; and two granddaughters.
