MIKE SKINNERMr. Nicholson, 86, of Philadelphia, MS, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Laird Hospital in Union, MS.He was born in the Dixon community of Neshoba County but had been a longtime resident of the Linwood community of Neshoba County. He was a former insurance agent and farmer. He had also worked as circulation manager for Clarion-Ledger for several years. Mr. Nicholson was a member of Linwood Baptist Church. He was a former member of Hospital Board of Trustees. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.Survivors include his wife, Cathy Nicholson of Philadelphia; daughters, Peggy Hendon and her husband, Jimmy, Patsy Germany and her husband, Edward, all of Union and Polly Hall and her husband, Gary of Philadelphia; sons, Randy Nicholson and his wife, Charlotte of Union and Dewayne Nicholson and his wife, Mary of Philadelphia; stepdaughters, Debbie Alford and her husband Rob of Lawrenceburg, TN, Jamie Smith and her husband, Wayne of Preston, Cyndi Savell and her husband, Daniel of Philadelphia and Rhonda Andress and her husband, David of Tuscaloosa, AL; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Reba Johns and her husband, Winston of Mobile, AL, Shelby Wilson and her husband, Raymond of Arizona and Margaret Hardy and her husband, Clayton of Union; brother, Aubrey Nicholson and his wife, Charlotte of Union and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.He was preceded in death by his wife of his children, Tommie Jean Nicholson; grandchild, Tina Michelle Nicholson and parents, Harvey and CeCe Nicholson.Pallbearers were Nick Hall, Neal Hall, Hagen Adkins, Ashley Burroughs, Landon Massey, Clay Willis, Mark Nicholson and Glenn Nicholson.
