JOHN STEPHENS Mr. Thrash, 85, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at his home. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Bloomo community in Neshoba County. He was a longtime employee of Wells Lamont in Philadelphia and also farmed all of his life, working with both cattle and poultry. Mr. Thrash was a member of Ocobla Baptist Church and a member of the Cattlemen’s Association. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his daughter, Terri Patterson (Sherlon) of Philadelphia; son, Joey Thrash (Patsy) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Erin Nowell (Barry) of Philadelphia, Lauren Thrash of Philadelphia, Shane Patterson (Dana) of Philadelphia, and Patrick Patterson (Lindsey) of Brandon; great-grandchildren, Addison Nowell, Brendan Nowell, and Oliver Patterson; sister, Ann Ogletree (Sidney) of Carthage and Helen Fulton (Billy Royce) of Philadelphia; brother, Leonard Thrash (Barbara) of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Shirley Allen of Pearl; and several nieces, nephews, and their families. Mr. Thrash was preceded in death by his wife, Syble; parents, Jimmy and Mary Thrash; and twin brothers, Arlton and Carlton Thrash.Pallbearers were Doug Thrash, Brad Ogletree, Randy Thrash, Jimmy Thrash, James Fulton and Kent Warren.
