DAVID RICHARDSONMrs. Winstead, 96, of Choctaw, died Friday, November 22, 2013, at Choctaw Residential Center.She was born to the late Thomas Nepoleon “Bud” Creekmore and Sina Elizabeth (Echols) Creekmore on June 12, 1917, in Neshoba County. Mrs. Winstead was a member of Coldwater Baptist Church.Survivors include daughters, Shelby Profitt of Georgetown, KY and Mary Winstead of Philadelphia; sons, David Brown of Nicholasville, KY and Creekmore “Bud” Brown of Bluefield, VA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Bullock of Hattiesburg, Mary Read of Stockton, CA, Tommie Mayo of Clinton, Kitty Skelton of Gautier, and Fay Burton of Oxford.Mrs. Winstead was preceded in death by three husbands, Vardaman Spears, Hammet Brown, and Ethel Winstead; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Brown and Betty Lynn Craine; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.Pallbearers were Jim Mayo, Jesse Spears, Ken Click, Doug Craine, Kenneth Parker, and Bobby Porter.The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Gideons International or The Baptist Children’s Village.
