Mrs. Leigh was a graduate of Philadelphia High School and the University of Tennessee School of Nursing in Memphis. Aside from a brief period of time in Lexington, Miss., Philadelphia was her home.While in nursing school, she met her husband, Dr. James Homer Leigh Sr. They worked together in his medical practice at the Leigh Clinic in Philadelphia until Dr. Leigh’s retirement in October 1983. Mrs. Leigh was a member of the Philadelphia Church of Christ.She is survived by daughter, Judy Leigh Tingle and husband Bert of Philadelphia; two sons, Dr. James Homer Leigh Jr. and wife Mary Frances of Gainesville, Ga., and Dr. Joe Nick Leigh and wife Renee of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Jamison Leigh and wife Mollie of Charleston, S.C.; Van Leigh and wife Katherine of Austin, Texas; John Tingle and wife Emily of Hernando; Dan Tingle and wife Crystal of Austin, Texas; William Tingle and wife Ansley of Cordova, Tenn.; Angelyn Rogers and husband Brian; Sarah Catherine Leigh and Caroline Leigh, all of Hattiesburg; Daniel Leigh of Oxford; and Mark Leigh of Odessa, Texas; great-grandchildren, J.H., Mary Lillian and Wallace Leigh; Edison and Elliott Leigh; Amelia and Ben Tingle; Irwin Leigh; and James, Samuel, Grace, John and Claire Rogers; sister, Louise Parkes Green of Ridgeland; and brother, Cleveland Parkes of Starkville.Mrs. Leigh was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dr. James Homer Leigh; son, John Wallace Leigh; parents, John and Gertie Parkes; and sister, Evelyn Parkes Russell.Pallbearers were Jamison Leigh, Van Leigh, Daniel Leigh, Mark Leigh, John Tingle, Dan Tingle, William Tingle and Brian Rogers.
