SERVICES:  SUNDAY, JUNE 30,2013 2:00 P.M. ANTIOCH BAPTIST CHURCH VISITATION: SATURDAY, JUNE 29, 2013 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. MCCLAIN-HAYS FUNERAL HOME INTERMENT: ANTIOCH CEMETERY Mr. Bishop, 78, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.   He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in the House community, where he served as a deacon for many years. Mr. Bishop was born in Neshoba County, where he lived for most of his life.  He worked as a pipefitter for International Paper Company and a machine repairman for General Motors, until his retirement, after which he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He had been a member of the Mississippi Air National Guard.  Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sylvia; his children Glenda Worrell (Stan), Stanley Bishop (Dena), Janice Jones (Gary) and Melanie Dallas (Mike), all of the House community; his grandchildren, Jessica Gibson (Todd), Rebekah Worrell, Laura Bishop, Lindsay Bishop, Emily Bishop, Dustin Jones (Maneka), Philip Dallas and Hannah Dallas; great-grandchildren, Braydon Gibson, Lexie Gibson, Paxton Gibson, Amanda Karaline Gibson, Aiden Burns, and Jack Jones.  He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Elvira Bishop; brother, Paul Bishop and sister, Frances McPherson.Pallbearers were Joel Embrey, Joseph Knight, Derek Pace, Chad Penson, Dennis Rigdon and Steven Williams.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Antioch Baptist Church Senior Men's Sunday School Class.
