ERIC SHARPMrs. Walterine Hill Myers, 92, died Sunday in her home surrounded by her family. A native of the Cleveland community in Kemper County, she was a longtime resident of Philadelphia. Mrs. Myers worked as a cashier for Fred's for many years before retiring. She enjoyed a number of hobbies including cooking, fishing and gardening. She centered her life on her family -- her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church. Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon A. Myers, a longtime Justice and Municipal Court Judge.  When Judge Myers died in 1992, the Board of Supervisors appointed her to serve the remainder of his term as Justice Court judge.  Mrs. Myers was also preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Preston and Lettie Hill, and two sisters, Myra Johnson and Hannie Carter. She is survived by two sons, Larry Myers and his wife Alesia; and Garry Myers and his wife Debbie; grandchildren, Melissa Lewis and her husband, Chris; Karin Fox and her husband, Britty; Lindsey Ladd; Meagan Myers; Morgan Moore and her husband, Jeffrey; Grant Myers and his wife Crystal; and Jordon Myers Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Sarah and Dylan Lewis, Matthew Callahan, Alec and Allie Fox, Brandon and Alexis Ladd, Caroline and Addisyn Clark, Asie Weatherford, Jake Myers, Bailey Cook and Jenny Lee Moore. Pallbearers were Raymond Johnson, Jeffrey Moore, Johnny Frank Smith, Richard Jones, Kent Clay, Chris Lewis and Wade White. The family extended a special thanks to Mrs. Myers' caregivers: Billie Alford, Brenda Gordon and Marie Branning.
