CHESTER CARLISLE Mr. Parker, 77, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in Kemper County. He was a native of the Coy community in Kemper County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia.  He formerly worked at DeWeese Lumber Company and retired in 1999 from Weyerhaeuser Company in Philadelphia.  Mr. Parker was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church where he had served as deacon and on various church committees.  He loved fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Shelby Myers Parker of Philadelphia; daughters, Carol (Andy) Thaggard of Ridgeland and Amy (John) Bagwell of Birmingham, AL; and grandchildren, Katherine Thaggard, Anna Claire Thaggard, Grace Thaggard, Parker Bagwell and Blake Bagwell. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, R.T. and Lorine Parker. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church or your favorite charity.Pallbearers were Parker Bagwell,  Blake Bagwell, Eric Sharp, Jason Sharp, Wayne Luke and Vernell Daniels.  Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Jones and Mark Peebles.
