EUGENE DOBBSMrs. Bobbie Thompson Blocker, 79, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia. She was born and reared in Neshoba County and had made her home in Philadelphia for the past 50 years. Mrs. Blocker was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was retired from Wells-Lamont Corporation after 35 years. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Blocker of Philadelphia; daughter, Teresa Blocker Adkins (Terry) of Philadelphia; sons, Harold Robert Blocker (Tracy) and Tim Blocker (Michele), all of Madison; grandchildren, Leigh Alison Blocker, Chelsea Blocker, Anna Blocker, Tyler Adkins and Trent Adkins; sisters, Edwina Pope of Edinburg, Sallie Darling of Flora and Brenda Hindman of Texas; brothers, Kenneth Thompson and Jimmy Thompson, both of Philadelphia and Gary Thompson of Hernando. Mrs. Blocker was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bertha Thompson and her brother, Curtis Thompson.Pallbearers were Spencer Pope, Steve Pope, Randy Pope, Jamie Thompson, Murphy Thompson and Kevin Thompson.
