GUY MCGARRITY Mr. Olen Lavelle Burrage, Sr., 82, died Friday, March 15, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was born on  March 16, 1930 in Neshoba County, MS where he lived his whole life except for a short time spent working in Houston, TX as a bus driver.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a truck mechanic in the 1950’s and subsequent to his honorable discharge. He founded Burrage Trucking, Inc. which became one of the top 150 companies of the nation. After selling Burrage Trucking, Inc. in 1990, he pursued his interest in cattle farming and timberland until his death.  He was a Shriner, a Mason and longtime member and deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ruth Audine Clark Burrage; siblings, Jackie “Buddy” Burrage (Shonna), Billy Burrage, Ruby Copeland and Linda Krietz (Ron). He is also survived by his children, Olen L. Burrage, Jr. (Ruth Ann), Jimmy Burrage, Ginger Sistrunk (Shelton) and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Burrage was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Lavelle Burrage and Sudie Elizabeth Burrage; daughter, Brenda Bobo and sister, Barbara Burrage.Pallbearers were Lee Myers, Chancy Branning, Scott Johnson, Brian Tyler Johnson, Ray Burrage, Wayne Burrage, Ronnie Burrage and Joe Burrage.  Honorary pallbearers were Harley Burrage, Jonathan Osborn, Garrett Myers, Pender Johnson, Riley Myers, Ellis Branning, Braden Burrage and Ethan Branning.
