DARIAN COCHRAN James “Jake” Cleveland Williamson, 70, of Franklin, NC, passed away, Thursday, January 10, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, MS, he was the son of Katie Marie Savell Williamson and the late Theo Edward Williamson. Jake was a founding member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church where he served as Head of Trustees. He felt he was called to help others; widows and children in particular. Jake was an artist and sculptor and especially enjoyed working with copper. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed building and playing the dulcimer. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Day Yarbrough Williamson; a daughter, Delice Renee Becton of Philadelphia, MS; two step sons, Scott Edward Barham of Silver Hill, AL and Kyle Brooks Barham of Buford, GA; two brothers, Ed Williamson and Clay Williamson both of Philadelphia, MS; five sisters, Beverly Scott of Philadelphia, MS, Vickie Lide of DeKalb, MS, Carolyn Boozer of Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX, Barbara Hitt of Philadelphia, MS, and Juanita Pope of Philadelphia, MS; four grandchildren, Nicholas Alexander, Leah Kathryn Becton both of Philadelphia, MS, Christopher Scott Barham of Saratoga Springs, NY and Hannah Abigail Barham of Silver Hill, AL and several nieces and nephews.
