DWIGHT FLEMING Mrs. Ryals, 84, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born and reared in Kemper County where she graduated from Cleveland High School. She had made her home in Philadelphia for the past 35 years. Mrs. Ryals was a member of Tucker Community Church. Survivors include her sisters, Betty (Bobby) Hall of Philadelphia, Dorothy Storey of Morton, Verley (George) Richardson of Philadelphia, Lucille (Dennis) Hodge of Raleigh, and Kate (Tommy) Dearing of Philadelphia; brothers, Hamett Brown of Moss Point, Roger (Dorothy) Brown of Philadelphia, and Billy (Bonnie) Brown of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Vester K. Brown of Philadelphia; a chosen daughter, Darlene (Marty) Sistrunk and son, Nathan (Laura) Sistrunk all of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ryals was preceded in death by her husbands, R. Ernest Kirkland and Glen E. Ryals; parents, John Q. and Gladys Brown; sister, Madie Williamson; and brothers, Earnest Brown and Alwyn Brown.Pallbearers were Marty Sistrunk, Mark Brown, Johnnie Williamson, Delton Killen, Benny Storey, Bernard Whittle, Bobby W. Hall and Richard Matthews. Honorary pallbearers will be Kim Killen, Billy Storey and Brad Whittle.
